HOG Report®

Time is running out, just 3 weeks left.  Here's the most serious HOG Report® yet!

HOG of the week - C4 Explosives are dynamite!  Clearly the Supreme Ruler is the HOG of the week.  Last week they thumped the red hot Buffalo Soldiers 107-85.  Their early season transactions, trades, and pick ups of players such as Toomer, Culpepper, McCardell, Shipp and Domanick Davis are paying dividends.  This week they play the Pigskins who will be without Portis, Horn, and Vinatieri... all out on a BYE week.  Look for C4 to continue their hot streak and perhaps thump the other white meat.  And... if a Blackcat can cross the Bear Necessities path... then C4 can move into the #1 seed slot.  Meow.

TOP HOG by division - C Division's (20-16-0) TOP HOG is the Bear Necessities at 7-2.  Sneaking up behind are the Blackcats and those darn Fockers.  I sure hope the Bear Necessities aren't superstitious.  Things such as Blackcats and broken mirrors won't faze da Bears, will they?  Is that a rabbit's foot in your pocket Butch?  Watch out for Boden... he's sneaky.  Then there's the TA&T's Division (19-17-0) TOP HOG the Rough Riders.  What seemed like a strong hold on this spot last week has changed and is all of a sudden becoming a showdown between the Pony Riders, Widowmakers and Southsiders.  Side note... can you believe the Buffalo Soldiers have a chance at the wildcard?  The Doomsday's Division (14-20-2) TOP HOG is C4 Explosives.  Like I said... they're dynamite!  Those mud slinging Pigskins are close behind.  This week they square off in the Supreme Ruler's match up of the week.  Don't let C4 fool you... they should have an easy time with the depleted Pigskins.

Wildcard HOG - Those mud slinging Pigskins are the Wildcard HOG.  The Pigskins lead in the Breakdown category (aka Mike's rule) with a 71-27-1 record.  Which brings us to... where's Widow?

And now for something really different....

Parts Is Parts
by Jeffrey B. Moran

My new heart used to be in a pig.
It's not too little; it's not too big.
It pumps blood OK from my feet to my brains
Through all my arteries, catepillars, and veins.
None of its semi-lunar valves leak,
And for its rhythm, it's got a good beat.
But I find now and then for truffles I dig.
My new heart used to be in a pig.

Chorus:
Now part of me's person and part of me's pork.
Not quite the same as was brought by the stork.
No sausage, no hamhocks, no spare ribs for me.
Pigs (hogs, swine) are now part of my family tree.

My new liver, it came from a hog.
Not from a horse or a sheep or a dog.
It fits just fine in my abdomen,
'Bout halfway 'tween my hips and my chin.
And it stores sugar, makes hormones and bile,
Just like the one I had as a child.
But often times through a barnyard I jog.
My new liver, it came from a hog.

My new kidney belonged to a swine.
And it's all right that I don't still have mine.
Because this one does its job real well
Of filtering blood through glomerular cells.
And its neurotic units are just the right size
For filling my bladder clear up to my eyes.
But sometimes I oink when I want to whine.
My new kidney belonged to a swine.

Well, part is parts, and I can't complain,
But not too much of my insides remain.
They've put in a lung, a vowel, and a spleen,
A new pancreas, and a couple of genes.
All these new parts added years to my life,
I've far outlived my kids and my wife.
I wanted to return the favor some how.
So last week I gave my heart to a sow.

Chorus:

Now we share the slop and we wallow in mud.
She's my Petunia, I'm her stud.

(or alternatively:)
Now we wallow in mud and we share the slop.
And we're makin' bacon until we drop.

Now part of me's person and part of me's pork.
Not quite the same as was brought by the stork.
No sausage, no hamhocks, no spare ribs for me.
Piglets are now part of my family tree.
