Hog
Report®
Oink,
oink, snort… here comes the Hog
Report®
for week 10.
Hog
of the Week –
Geez another week, 3rd consecutive week... where 3 teams eclipse the one hundred
point total. The Bear Necessities
clawed past the TD-less Pigskins in convincing fashion scoring 103 points… the
Puck Fackers finish off the Supreme Ruler’s C4 Explosives, without a Kicker or a
Defense team, scoring 118 points… and in the most remarkable performance ever in
SFFL league history, Matt Spencer’s Buffalo Soldiers absolutely
annihilated wildcard hopeful Rough Riders by 76 points… the Buffs
scored 156 points!! (SFFL past high scores - David
Taylor’s Teasers scored 143 pts during week 7 in 2002… Butch Eads’ Bear
Necessities scored 140 pts during week 4 in 2003.)
In
other games of note; the Flea Flickers got
their first win of the season!!!
The Flickers are no
longer Floppers... they topped the Blackcats 86-74. And the game that captured
everyone’s attention, the Southsiders came up just short in their bid to upset
the dreaded Widowmakers. The final score... The
Evil
Empire
94 and the Southsiders
90.
Despite this past weekend’s high scoring performances by the Puck Fackers and Bear Necessities… the Buffs would have beaten both convincingly. The Buffs 156 points beat the Fackers by 38 and the Bears by 53. A record setting week worth mentioning… 9 TDs, 841 passing, rushing, and receiving yards, no interceptions, no fumbles, 2 Extra Points, 3 Field Goals, Defensive Fumble Recovered, 4 Interceptions, 3 Sacks, 125 yards allowed. There's absolutely no question in my mind... the Buffalo Soldiers are this week's Hog of the Week. Congratulations Matt Spencer!
WOW! One Hundred and Fifty Six Points!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The
Hog

presents its
exclusive ‘Points in the Pen’. This year, to expand upon our reputation
of providing totally useless information, we take a look at what could have
been. Aided by highly sophisticated
gadgetry (calculators) and state-of-the-art statistical notation (paper and
pencil), this publication has compiled mind-numbing estimatics (table below) that backwardly projects optimal
scores based on optimal lineups.
